Veterans’ Needs: Duty to serve

The Senate vote for additional VA money came at the last minute, because the Bush administration had been wrongly dismissing Murray’s warnings about a budget crunch. With the support of Sen. Larry Craig, R-Idaho, chairman of the Senate Veterans Affairs Committee, Murray held a hearing here Aug. 3 to let veterans talk about the needs of service members returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. – (Full Article)
