“Today we learned from news accounts that a draft report on the Boeing tanker deal from the Pentagon’s Inspector General contains what a lot of us already know. It says that we need this airplane, and there is no reason to stop it from moving forward.
While the Pentagon has requested additional reports, this is good news for our service men and women who are defending us, and it’s good news for Boeing workers in Everett who will build this plane.
While we still have a few more hurdles to get over, but if today’s news is accurate, we are closer than ever to doing the right thing and giving the men and women of our armed services the equipment they need.”
