(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – The Sound Transit Board of Directors voted today to address the Inspector General’s recommendation on alternative funding sources for Link light rail.
Sen. Murray released the following statement.
“I applaud the board of Sound Transit for taking swift and decisive action in responding to this latest challenge. The board has met its obligation to ensure that Link light rail has sufficient funding to complete the initial segment without compromising sub area equity principles.
I look forward to working with the broad coalition of Sound Transit supporters – from the Boeing Company to the business community to the Bush Administration – to build this important solution to our transportation crisis.
