Washington, DC—Today, Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) released the following statement on President Obama’s nomination of Loretta Lynch to be the Attorney General of the United States.
“Throughout her long and distinguished legal career, Loretta Lynch has consistently demonstrated leadership, ability, and an unwavering commitment to public service. From prosecuting financial fraud and terrorism to fighting for civil rights, she has a wide range of experience and is clearly qualified to become the next Attorney General of the United States. Twice already, the Senate has unanimously confirmed her to serve as U.S. Attorney, and I believe that Washington state will be well served by her continued public service. I look forward to supporting her confirmation once again.”
