(Washington, D.C.) – Today, U. S. Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) questioned Major General Patricia D. Horoho, the Chief of the Army Nurse Corps and Commander for Madigan Army Medical Center located at Fort Lewis about efforts to provide care for the families of service members there. Murray’s questioning came during a hearing on military health care in the Senate Defense Appropriations Subcommittee.
Maj. General Horoho discussed the growing number of women and children health care enrollees at Fort Lewis and the base’s request to build a Women’s Health Center at Madigan Army Medical Center. Senator Murray reaffirmed her support for that effort.
