(Washington, D.C.) – Today, U.S. Senator Patty Murray (D-WA), a senior member of the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee, announced that the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has released a checklist and guide containing helpful tips to assist Veterans in the process of applying for their Post-9/11 GI Bill benefits. These resources will help veterans submit their spring enrollment information in a timely manner, the VA meet its commitment to speed up the processing of benefits, and students avoid the financial hardships some experienced during the fall 2009 term. The VA is working to process applications for benefits by the end of this month when many schools will begin charging fees.
The guide and checklist can be found at VA’s GI Bill website.
