Murray Welcomes New Deputy Chief of Staff Tovah Ravitz-Meehan

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – U.S. Senator Patty Murray today proudly announced the addition of Tovah Ravitz-Meehan to her Washington D.C. staff. Ravitz-Meehan will join the Murray team as Deputy Chief of Staff.

“I am pleased that Tovah will be rejoining my staff in this new and important role,” Senator Murray said. “Tovah has a long history with Washington state and will bring a wide range of experience to her new position.”

Most recently, Ravitz-Meehan served as Deputy Communications Director for Joe Lieberman’s presidential campaign. Prior to her role with Lieberman, she worked as the Communications Director for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) where she was responsible for all media surrounding the DSCC and Senator Murray’s role as Chair of the committee. Before her move to the DSCC, Ravitz-Meehan was Senator Murray’s Communications Director in her Washington, DC office and also served as Communications Director for Washington state during the 2000 Gore-Lieberman campaign.

“Senator Murray has always stood up for families and for what is right for Washington state. I am proud to work with her again in this exciting new role,” Ravitz-Meehan said.
