(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – U.S. Senator Patty Murray today applauded an announcement by six Chinese Airlines of the purchase 60 Boeing 787 Dreamliners. The agreement is worth approximately $7.2 billion dollars.
“Today’s announcement is great news for both Boeing and Washington state.
Washington state’s Boeing workers are the best, most-skilled workers in the aerospace business and today’s purchase is affirmation that their plane will be a market leader for decades to come. Soon, 787 passengers worldwide will be flying on planes that say ‘Made in Washington.’
I will continue to work to protect Washington state’s Boeing jobs and to ensure that American aerospace workers compete on a level playing field.”
