(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – U.S. Senator Patty Murray (D-Wash.) today announced that $2,980,500 in federal grants for the SE 1st-NW Lake Road Project will be released on June 11th.
The Federal Highway Administration Interstate Maintenance grants were funded under the fiscal year 2003 Transportation spending bill, which Murray helped author.
As the ranking Democrat on the Transportation Appropriations Subcommittee, Senator Murray made funding improvements to this roadway a top priority.
“I am proud to have secured federal funding to help the City of Camas make some major transportation improvements through the SE 1st-NW Lake Road Project,” Senator Murray said. “This grant money will help ease congestion, increase public safety, and help Camas pave the way for future economic growth. I am proud to have secured this funding and I will continue to fight for families and communities across our state.”
Senator Murray secured the funding for the SE 1st-NW Lake Road Project, in the fiscal year 2003 Transportation spending bill, which was passed by Congress in February. This project will help the City of Camas begin the process of expanding and improving this roadway.
