Murray Announces $500,000 for City of Carnation

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – U.S. Senator Patty Murray (D-Wash.) today announced that she has secured a half million dollars in the Senate Appropriations bill to help the City of Carnation construct a new sewer system.

“I am pleased to have secured this funding for the City of Carnation,” Senator Murray said. “In helping the local community to redevelop and expand, we are facilitating a cleaner, healthier and more pleasant environment for Carnation families and businesses.”

Carnation’s current septic systems have reached capacity, resulting in a health hazard declaration by the county.

The $500,000 in funding secured by Murray passed the Senate Appropriations Committee today and will now go to the full Senate for consideration.
