“As I have said all along, if we could find a responsible way to replace the COLA adjustment I would be happy to support it. The bipartisan provision that’s now passed the House and Senate is an important step in improving the compromise budget agreement we passed in December. I believe we need to continue to work to build a sustainable military retirement system that honors the sacrifices of those in uniform and I look forward to the Military Compensation and Retirement Modernization Commission’s recommendations on their path to doing that.”
