Senator Murray, a senior member of the Senate Education Committee, meets with the 2010 Washington state Principals of the Year - Christine Lynch from John Shaw Middle School in Spokane and Aaron Leavell from Bremerton High School.
“These principals deserve our profound gratitude for the work they do every day for their students and communities,” Senator Murray said following the meeting. “As a former school teacher, I know how good principals lead by example and how their excellence sets the tone for the teachers, students, and parents in their schools. Christine, Aaron, and all of the principals honored exemplify the passion and dedication we need to help improve our country’s education system.”
The state competition is organized by the Association of Washington School Principals, and the national program is organized by the National Association of Secondary School Principals.
