Senator Murray discusses the 10th Anniversary of the Bellingham, Washington pipeline explosion that claimed the lives of three young Bellingham residents. On Wednesday, Senator Murray successfully passed a resolution that designates June 10th, the day of the explosion, as “National Pipeline Safety Day.” Senator Murray passed pipeline safety legislation in 2002 that has reduced the incidents of pipeline accidents that have resulted in death or serious injury.
