Senator Murray chaired a Veterans Affairs Committee field hearing to hear from veterans and build an official record to press the VA Secretary to keep the Walla Walla VA hospital open.

“From Day 1, I have been absolutely opposed to this closure . . . . I have real concerns that this community has not been treated fairly. I have real concerns about what’s going to happen to the veterans who rely on the Walla Walla VA today and about the veterans who will come home from Iraq and Afghanistan and need care.”
